Students from UofT are keen on getting hands on experience in the Biotech industry. These Genetics stream students are well versed with all the latest tools of gene and genome editing and some double major in Statistics or Neuroscience. There is no strict limit on the group size, it could also be individual students or groups of students. In addition, it could be a summer project that involves more hours.

In class deliverables: Students are expected to present their projects in an oral presentation and a digital poster.


What will students ideally learn from this community engagement experience? 

Designed to familiarize students with the field of biotechnology. and provide them with exposure to the biotech sector and the startup environment


How will students engage with community partners? 

  • Small groups (2-6 students) 
  • 1-2 hours a week for 10 weeks

  • bi-weekly meetings (having some check-in meetings with the students is recommended)
