Objectifs et capacités de Apprenant.es

Do you have a Labor and/or Employee Relations challenge you want to tackle? In this project, students working in teams will examine the critical issues and procedures regarding organization. They will bring an understanding of the major aspects of labor – employee relations in union and non – union environments. Students will also demonstrate how balanced advocacy will facilitate harmonious work environment with employer, employee, and union. The implementation of models like Ideal, Unite, Win-Win, and the 8 C Models, will bring trustworthy relationships, develop better understanding, executing negotiation, effective communication and collaboration techniques between union and management organizations as well as help in adapting with the currents challenges like COVID – 19 Pandemic.

Students in groups of 3-5 will work with your company to identify your needs and provide actionable recommendations, based on their in-depth research and analysis.

Project activities might include but are not limited to:

  • Strategize how to foster better labor and employee relations within organization and unions.
  • Outline rights and responsibilities of unions and managements
  • Partnership, collaboration for employees, union + firm using win-win model
  • Implement negotiation process and outcomes by implementing unite model
  • Develop and rebuild labor relations strategies in the firm using ideal model
  • Use Positive discipline and motivation by incorporating the 8 C model.
