Project Goal

To create a structured HR policy framework for Agora Connections and Historia Studio, ensuring compliance with labor laws and fostering a safe, inclusive workplace. The policies will address harassment prevention, occupational health and safety (OH&S), anti-discrimination measures, and employee conduct expectations.

Project Activities

Students will:

Research & Compliance Review

  • Examine legal requirements and best practices for small businesses under OH&S regulations, anti-harassment laws, and anti-discrimination policies.
  • Identify HR risks and gaps that small businesses commonly face.

Develop Core HR Policies

  • Harassment Protocol: Outline reporting procedures, investigation processes, and preventative measures.
  • OH&S Compliance: Summarize Occupational Health & Safety Act requirements and create a workplace safety guide.
  • Anti-Discrimination Training: Design a training module covering bias prevention, inclusive hiring, and workplace diversity.
  • Employee Code of Conduct: Establish behavioral guidelines, ethics policies, and disciplinary procedures.

Implementation & Training Plan

  • Develop an onboarding package to educate employees on these policies.
  • Provide recommendations for ongoing training and compliance monitoring.
