HealerBuddy is a fast-growing HealthTech platform dedicated to connecting therapists with clients, making mental health support accessible and seamless. Our mission is to break down barriers in mental healthcare, and we’re looking for a motivated Social Media Intern to help us grow our community of therapists and clients through engaging content and outreach.
Role Summary:
As a Social Media Intern at HealerBuddy, you will be crucial in increasing brand awareness and driving signups from therapists and clients. You'll create, curate, and manage content across various platforms, helping expand our reach and engage our target audience. This is an excellent opportunity for a creative, driven individual to gain hands-on experience in social media marketing and make a real impact in the mental health industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute social media strategies to increase therapist and client signups
- Create engaging content (posts, stories, graphics, etc.) tailored for platforms like Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Tik Tok and X
- Monitor social media trends, audience preferences, and competitor activities to refine our content strategy
- Engage with followers and build an active online community
- Collaborate with the marketing team to run promotional campaigns and giveaways
- Track and report social media performance (engagement, growth, conversion) with data-driven insights
- Research and identify potential influencers or collaborations that align with HealerBuddy’s mission
Requirements:
- Happy Minds with an Enthusiasm to learn and adapt to fast-paced environments
- Passion for social media, digital marketing, and mental health advocacy
- Strong understanding of major social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, X)
- Excellent communication skills and a creative mindset for content creation
- Basic graphic design skills (Canva or similar tools)
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Bonus Points:
- Experience with social media analytics and scheduling tools (e.g., Buffer, Hootsuite)
- Knowledge or interest in mental health services

Content Creation and Posting:
- Create minimum 20 engaging and relevant posts per month across platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter)
- Focus content on educating therapists about the benefits of joining HealerBuddy and encouraging potential clients to sign up
- Include calls-to-action (CTAs) in posts, such as "Join HealerBuddy today" or "Sign up for accessible mental health services."
Engagement and Community Building:
- Actively engage with followers by responding to comments, questions, and messages within 24 hours.
- Identify and interact with potential therapists and clients through thoughtful comments and direct messages.
- Run at least 2 social media polls or Q&A sessions or podcasts per month to engage the audience and gather insights.
Influencer Partnerships and Collaborations:
- Research and reach out to 10-15 influencers, mental health advocates, or therapist communities for partnerships to promote HealerBuddy.
- Collaborate with these influencers to run campaigns or share content highlighting the benefits of the platform.
Campaign Execution for Sign-ups:
- Develop and execute at least 2 social media campaigns per month aimed at driving therapist and client sign-ups.
- Include incentives, such as free trials or promotions, to encourage sign-ups during these campaigns.
Performance Tracking and Reporting:
- Track social media growth, engagement rates, and sign-up conversions on a weekly basis.
- Prepare a report at the end of each month with key metrics, such as new followers, engagement per post, and the number of sign-ups influenced by social media efforts.
Content Calendar Development:
- Create and maintain a 30-day content calendar that aligns with HealerBuddy’s goals to increase awareness and sign-ups.
- Ensure content is scheduled and posted consistently, adhering to best posting times for each platform.
Feedback Collection from Audience:
- Run short surveys or polls to gather feedback from therapists and potential clients about their needs and expectations from a booking platform.
- Use feedback to adjust content strategy and messaging to better resonate with target audiences.
By completing these tasks, the students will play an integral role in raising awareness of HealerBuddy and driving more therapists and clients to sign up on the platform.
