Détails

The LabyrinthLady website, labyrinthlady.ca, is a key platform for Minerva Innovations Consultancy to showcase its expertise and services. However, the current website lacks user engagement and modern design elements, which may hinder its effectiveness in attracting potential clients. The goal of this project is to enhance the website's user experience and visual appeal, ensuring it aligns with contemporary web standards. The project involves analyzing the existing website to identify areas for improvement, such as navigation, layout, and content presentation. By applying principles learned in web design and development courses, the team will propose and implement changes that improve the overall functionality and aesthetics of the site. This project provides an opportunity for learners to apply their skills in web development, user interface design, and content management.

Livrables

The project deliverables include a comprehensive report detailing the current website's shortcomings and proposed improvements. Additionally, the team will deliver a redesigned website prototype that incorporates enhanced navigation, updated design elements, and optimized content layout. The final deliverable will be a presentation showcasing the improvements made and the rationale behind each change, ensuring the website is more engaging and user-friendly.

My name is Diana Ng, and I am the founder and proud solo social entrepreneur behind Minerva Innovations Consultancy, also known as The Labyrinth Lady.

I live and work in Surrey, BC, Canada, on the traditional, ancestral, and unceded territories of the Katzie, Semiahmoo, and Kwantlen Nations.

I began my journey in healthcare, earning a general nursing diploma from BCIT in 1981 and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from UBC in 1984. In 2002, I achieved a Master of Arts in Leadership from Royal Roads University, strengthening my ability to lead and inspire change.

With over four decades as a Registered Nurse, my career has included diverse roles in public health, community care, teaching, research, and management.

One of my most meaningful accomplishments has been introducing Metro Vancouver’s first public park labyrinth in collaboration with the City of Surrey. This initiative sparked further projects, resulting in the creation of three permanent labyrinth installations across the region, bringing communities together through mindfulness and peace.

I am also the author of Walking the Labyrinth: Your Path to Peace and Possibilities, a guide to finding clarity and connection through the labyrinth experience. Alongside my writing, I run a peace-focused store and facilitate mindfulness workshops in labyrinth settings. My labyrinth-inspired gifts are available on Amazon, Etsy, and my website.

As I continue to grow my business, I am expanding my focus to include racial justice activism. This new direction aligns with my lifelong commitment to fostering inclusion, equity, and meaningful social impact.
