We would like a couple of students to design the website for our engineering firm. Along with the product and services it offers. This would be entailing skills revolving around web design.
We will be holding weekly meetings to get an update on the website for the firm. Students are free to add their add-ons as long as it's discussed.
Students will be required to submit a short weekly report on what they worked on or improved for the website
The goal of this project is to use the site as a go-to for clients and users to see what our company is about. We are looking for students to create a live website for our firm.
Before the actual web work begins, we encourage employees & students to bring forward their ideas to find a better process or more innovative way of approaching these projects. They will be given certain specs of the site(ex. Sprites, etc), & there on, they'll design the website. If they find or believe there is other information they need to present, they can bring it forward.
We require the student(s) to participate in weekly online meetings for any changes & updates on the site design or ideas. In addition to checking their progress & teaching them. During these weekly meetings, they'd present a report outlining changes, improvements, etc.
The website would include but not limited to the following features:
- Gallery
- Responsive Design
- Contact us form
- Social Media Links/Icons
- Testimonial and Review Section
- Scheduling Form
- Carousel (Image Sliders)
- Essential Info Footer
- FAQs
- Social media (Twitter (X))Integration
- News update Blog Section
- Simple analytics Integration (ex. Google Analytics)
We are open-minded to what program the students can use. We are happy to work with students that use the following:
- Django
- HTML
- CSS
- Bootstrap
- Etc
Tasks to complete with final deliverables in a folder, which are the following:
- Create a live website with 5 complete web pages attached to the provided URL, with the ability to edit them post-project
- Notes and details revolving around the website (PDF)
- Recap of any tools used (PDF)
- List of any potential issues & areas of improvements (PDF)
- Mini summaries of their process timeline and milestones (PDF)
- Majority attendance in weekly meetings for hands-on learning and guidance.
