Our company has an innovative product. This is a defense engineering product meant for Police, Security, and Teachers.

We would like a group of students to design 3D drawings of the product, which would be involving:

1. SolidWorks

2. AutoCad


Optional: Google Sketchup


We will be holding weekly meetings to get an update on the 3D design of the product. It should be detailed enough to be able to build it in real life to accurate specs. Students are free to add their add-ons as long as it's discussed.

Students will be required to submit a short weekly report on what they worked on or improved for the 3D drawings.

The goal of this project is to use the 3D drawings as a base to start building the actual product to bring to market.


Final Deliverable Expectations:

We hope to achieve the product to be working functionally using the 3D design softwares. As well as use the final deliverable drawings to start 3D printing the product.


Livrables

Before the actual design work begins, we encourage employees & students to bring forward their ideas to find a better process or more innovative way of going about these projects. They will be given certain specs of the product (ex. Dimensions, functions it needs to perform, etc.), from there they'll 3D design the product accordingly on various software.

We require the student(s) to engage in weekly online meetings for changes & updates on the design. In addition to checking their progress & teaching them. During these meetings, they'll present a short report.

After completing the 3D drawings, they'll have the final deliverable presented in a folder with the following content:

  • An executive summary detailing overview, timeline, key findings, changes made.
  • Detailed summaries of their timeline, including attached previous reports, improvements, etc.
  • Pictures & files of the 3D designs with measurements
  • List of any potential issues and potentials areas of improvements
  • A recap of any tools used
