Bio

Creativity, empathy, and drive are Sera's most important values in herself and others. At 20-years-old and in her second year of learning at the University of Toronto, Sera is a National Scholarship recipient and a Loran '23 Finalist who is currently pursuing an honours degree in the Book and Media Studies and History programs. Previously, she was the founder and president of her high school's Mental Wellness Commission as well as President of the Gender Sexuality Alliance. As a Girl Guides of Canada member for 15 years, she’s received the Gold Trailblazer Award, the Commonwealth Award, and also sits on GGC’s National Youth Council. She produces videos on historical topics in her spare time and enjoys hiking, writing, and embroidery. Her most meaningful pursuit to date is the completion of a soldier repatriation project in honour of the 80th Anniversary of the Dieppe Raid in France as part of a delegation led by Veterans Affairs Canada. The easiest way to engage her in conversation is to ask her about her cats (otherwise known as the lights of her life).
